Creative CAH Design Features

• Bearing assembly - Shaft of large diameter with short overhang reduces deflection and increases bearing life. Four through bolts are required to hold the cartridge type housing in the frame.

• Casing – Two halves of casing made of cast or ductile iron with external reinforcing ribs provide high operating pressure capabilities with extra measure of safety.

• Liners – Bolted(not glued) liners can be replaced easily, are fastened to casing for positive attachment for easy maintenance. Liners are of hard metal completely interchangeable with pressure molded elastomers. Elastomer seal rings back all liner joints.

• Throatbush - Wear is reduced significantly with easy maintenance by the use of tapered mating faces to allow positive accurate alignment during assembly & helps in simple removal.

• Impeller - Reduces recirculation and seal contamination by front and rear shrouds have pump out vanes. Elastomer impellers of hard metal and molded are completely interchangeable. No inserts or nuts since impeller is cast in threads. Designs of high head and high efficiency are available.

• Single-piece frame - A high strength single-piece frame cradles the cartridge type bearing and shaft assembly. An external impeller adjustment mechanism is provided below the bearing housing for easy adjustment of impeller clearance. Full flush, low flow, centrifugal, or mechanical seals may be fitted to any sized pump.

• Shaft sleeve -Shaft sleeve manufactured in either hardened steel or ceramic coated steel easily removable with o-ring seals at both ends prevents the shaft from abrasive or corrosive contaminants.

• Hi-Seal - By utilizing the “Hi-Seal” expeller design external gland sealing water is avoided in most applications. Where flushing water is unavoidable, restricted flow glands keep this to a minimum.

• Mechanical seal -Single or double mechanical seals can be offered as an alternative to a conventional seal for most applications.
